What it does to people

75–90 · Any group. This is the gathering youth should not skip.

The people side: fairness, privacy, manipulation, companionship, health, work, school, culture. This is where most community talks actually live.

Opening question

Where has a system already ranked, nudged, or accompanied someone we love?

To hold together

  • What is the difference between a tool that helps a person and a tool that replaces a relationship?
  • Who is most likely to be scored without being asked?
  • What would dignity require of a classroom, a clinic, or a feed?

A practice

Pick two families that feel far apart, for example Health and Labour. Read one concern from each. Ask what they share that the names do not.

Concerns to name in the room

Principles to sit beside the facts

  • Dignity

Every person is a protagonist, not a data point.

  • Listening

Listen to understand, rather than listen to speak.

  • Justice

Who is heard, who is harmed, and who decides.

  • Meaningful conversation

Conversation builds the language of a new reality.
